Step 1) Clean nails and hands

• For 20 piece sets: first measure which nails fit best and put them in the right order.

• Wash and dry your hands.

• Remove old nail polish with nail polish remover.

Step 2) Prep!​

• Cut or file your natural nails as short as possible.

• Remove pieces of loose skin and cuticle with the cuticle stick or file.

• Slightly remove the shine from the natural nails with the buffer block.

• Clean your nails with the alcohol wipe.

• For extra adhesion, you can clean your nails with acetone (for example with the Kruidvat Acetone Nail and Gel Polish remover).

Step 3) Press On Application

A) Wear time: a few hours --> glue tabs

• Choose a glue tab that is about the same size as your own nail.

• Stick the tabs on your own nails and remove the piece of plastic on top.

• Put the Press on Nail on your nail and press firmly for 30 seconds.

 

B) Wear time: 1 to 2 days + easy to remove --> glue tabs + glue on the sides

• Choose a glue tab that is about the same size as your own nail.

• Stick the tabs on your own nails and remove the piece of plastic on top.

• For better adhesion, you can put a little bit of glue on the sides of the stickers. The nails will stay longer, while they will still be easy to remove.

• Put the Press on Nail on your nail and press firmly for 30 seconds.

C) Wear time: 1 to 2 weeks --> glue

• Put glue on your own nails.

• Option: put some glue on the inside of the Press On as well. This helps with better adhesion and avoids air gaps. Avoid getting glue on the parts of the nails you will touch during application because you might make a mess.
  Avoid this step if you are not comfortable with it yet.

• Put the Press On Nail on your nail (avoid contact between the glue and your skin) and press firmly for 30 seconds.

D) Wear time: 1 to 2 weeks --> glue + glue tabs

• Choose a glue tab about the same size as your nail.

• Stick the tabs on your own nails and remove the piece of plastic on top.

• Put glue on your own nail (on the entire nails, but not too thick or not too much). Pay attention to the parts of the nail that are not covered by the sticker.

• Option: put some glue on the inside of the Press On as well. This helps with better adhesion and avoids air gaps. Avoid getting glue on the parts of the nails you will touch during application because you might make a mess.
  Avoid this step if you are not comfortable with it yet.

• Put the Press On Nail on your nail (avoid contact between the glue and your skin) and press firmly for 30 seconds.

Why is this method useful? Better adhesion and protection of the natural nails. The glue tabs function as some kind of sticky cushion between the natural nail and the Press On. It fills in the gaps between the nails. If a nail is starting to lose, you will feel and be able to fix it rather than the nail popping off as a surprise. In other words: you will not easily lose a nail and end up not finding it back.

Stap 4 - Later) Press Ons verwijderen

A) Glue stickers

• Nails applied with glue tabs should come off with slightly pressing or pulling them loose.

• If they don't come off that easily, soak your hands in warm (not hot!) water.

• Use the cuticule stick to remove the stickers from the Press On Nails, so you can use them again.

B) Glue

The longer you wear the nails, the easier they should come off. Try the following methods. If it hurts, try something else in order to avoid nail damage!

• Soak your hands in warm water with some soap or oil for a few minutes.

• Slightly and very gently press the end of the Press On down, so it pops off.

• Search for gaps on the sides and use the cuticle stick to get the nails off, carefully!

• Try to use an oil. Baby oil, cuticle oil, coconut oil... Oil breaks down the glue.

• If this does not work, try to cut away the loose parts of the Press On nail.

• Soak your nails for about 15 minutes in acetone (for example the Kruidvat Nail and Gel Polish remover. Warning: after this step you will not be able to reuse the Press On Nails.
